week sevenn
Pilgrams made a colony at Plymouth , Mass. in 1621. The colony sailed to there from england on a ship named the Mayflower. by the end of the first winter 2/3 of them were died. the men that went on this adventure were gentlemen, the were not use to having to grow crops and set up a new town. this is where squanto came in, he is the one that helped them the most, and as a result of this it lead them to the first thanksgiving dinner. no, i dont think i could have lived like they did. the parents picked their marrige mate, i could never go along with that, along with many others. they had more freedom when they came over but still their daily lifes are so different then what we have today. i am looking forward to filming because the lectures get boring sometimes and it adds alittle spice to learning. looking over the pages i thought "women and the economy" jumped out at me when i read over it i thought it was very dumb and i disagree with it competely because i think that the women are there own people they should be aloud to do what ever they want and feel like. with out a woman there by her husbands sidde the guy prob. would not be able to function. but i like the idea to film on colonial education, because you can show how the education then and the education today are different, or you may learn that some of the things they did then we still do today and we may not even notice it.
